Cyber Essentials deadline for Jersey suppliers closing in

The deadline for suppliers awarded government contracts worth more than £25,000 to become Cyber Essentials certified is approaching.

With cybersecurity a major issue for businesses and governments the world over, the State of Jersey has acted to ensure that its suppliers are up to scratch when it comes to implementing the cybersecurity basics.

The State of Jersey issued an announcement earlier this year that suppliers awarded a new government contract worth more than £25,000 will need to commit to adopting Cyber Essentials, or a higher standard within 12 months. From 2020 all suppliers with contracts valued at £25,000 will need to be Cyber Essentials certified or to a higher standard.

If you’re in need of assistance to become Cyber Essentials certified XQ Cyber is an official Cyber Essentials certification body that can help your organisation or business become accredited.

By being Cyber Essentials certified your business will;

  • Become more competitive and attract more business as you will demonstrate that you have cybersecurity measures in place.
  • Assure customers that you are working to ensure that their data is safe in your hands.
  • Get a clear overview of your business’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Bid on government contracts that list Cyber Essentials certification as a requirement.

Introducing CyberScore™ event

Join XQ Cyber and our partner Salvus for lunch on 7 November 2018 for a free demonstration of the award-winning CyberScore™ and a Q&A session at Digital Jersey to see how you can reduce the cyber risk to your business.

What is CyberScore™?

Monitoring your cybersecurity is often seen as an annual – and expensive – box-ticking exercise, led by manual penetration testing. But with cyber threats being ever-evolving, ongoing monitoring is now a necessity in order to keep your business secure. Automated testing allows for just that – and it doesn’t break the bank.

CyberScore™ is an award-winning automated security testing service that provides full reports of your cybersecurity posture, including Get Well Plans and full Technical Reports to show you exactly where the key vulnerabilities lie, and exactly what you need to do in order to remedy them.

The event takes place on Wednesday 7th November 2018 and runs from 12:00 -14:00 GMT and will be hosted at Digital Jersey.
