Cyber guides part 2: Changing Default passwords

Default passwords are notoriously weak so it's a good idea to change them.

Wireless network routers as well as many IoT and smart devices are often shipped with default login information designed to allow a user access to their settings.

Often these default passwords are weak and what’s worse is that many people don’t change them.

What’s the risk from default passwords?

An attacker can find out what the default password very easily, in fact a quick Google search can be enough. The defaults allow a user to connect to and get the device or program up and running easily, but in order to keep hackers out, you need to change the default passwords as soon as possible.
